I paid for the upgrade and received it for a couple of months, but then was asked to upgrade and pay again. I was unable to contact the company. Also I never completed more two or three moves. No one wanted to play chess. This app is terrible!!!

Great design!! Too slow play with a stranger

A single play feature would make this a 5+ app!!!

This is a splendid app. I love its perfect composition. I wish they would make an iPad version. Please? The secret drawer is a nice touch.

Strange Chess app. First of all what is the point of having a vertically stretched board? At least give the option to make it a normal square. Second, the app was last updated in 2013. There are pretty much no players when you try to find a game through the Game Center. No stats for the player if one is found. No chat option. No resize option. Basically there is no incentive to use this Chess app compared to much better ones available.

Excellent aesthetics, but disappointed by the quality control. Purchased full version over a year ago, rarely used due to lack of other players. Finally an update to improve practicality, but it costs $7.99. Would love to use TallChess but not for another $8.

This is a beautiful chess app, only thing is is that you gotta pay $8 for customizing the AI...

The design tweaks look great but new bugs have been added as well. I had two games going and they suddenly disappeared. Unfortunately, it was my turn so the games appear to be lost to history. In another game, an opponent was able to move two pawns at once—pretty sure thats not regulation.

Great app, excellent design, though there is one major glitch-- when youre playing the computer and you try to Queen a pawn, it does not work and it stays a pawn.

This looks to be a perfect casual chess program. Worth the price to get multiple games. However, it is almost ruined by poor matchmaking algorithms and buggy refresh of game move submissions and refresh. About half the times I try to play a move, the chess board redraws several times and comes up blank. Same buggy move submission. I have to make a move twice most times for it to "take" In one week, I tried starting 100 games and over 75 of them were against IL GENIO PAZZO who never moves and just resigns. The match algorithm shouldnt let one person queue up multiple games to only leave their opponents hanging and never finish the game. If you dont bring your own set of friends to play, expect to spend a lot of your time clearing games that will never even have three moves if you play this game for more than a day.

I redownloaded Tall Chess because I saw there was an update. As a person who uses VoiceOver, I can no longer play chess with this app because the gameplay itself is no accessible to VoiceOver. The rest of the app, however, works with VoiceOver. I hope I can once again play chess with your app when using VoiceOver.

Do not waste your money. This app is very buggy. I cant even finish a game.

Agree very buggy. Three out of four games would not allow certain normal moves.

Make a new update!! I cant even play a proper game

This used to be my favorite chess app. Clean and beautiful. But the last five games Ive played have bugged out. Somehow, game states on both iPhones get out of sync and wont allow either player to make a move.

A beautifully designed chess app that simply does not work well enough to be functional.

This is the most perfect chess app design out there. Beautiful, simple, elegant... But push notifications are unreliable, and game-state bugs plague the multiplayer experience. Fix those things, and youd earn 5 stars easily.

I have Chess Pro/Tiger Hiracs Shredder and others. Pieces are difficult to move and some moves dont register! Very poor design!
